15 years of 3EN: from a startup to the UK and Ireland’s largest NetSuite specialist

21 October 2026, 3EN turned 15.

It’s a milestone we’re proud of, and a good moment to look back at where we started, what we’ve learned and where we’re heading.

Where it began

In 2011, we started life as Product Earth Solutions, a small consultancy from the front room of Dale & Alison’s home. Our first clients weren’t big corporates. They were non-profits and NGOs, organisations that had to make every pound count and needed systems that worked as hard as their people did.

Working with those clients taught us something we’ve never forgotten. Technology only matters when it solves a real problem for a real organisation. Features and acronyms don’t win trust. Understanding how a business actually runs, and then making it run better, does.

Finding our focus

Along the way, one platform kept proving itself: Oracle NetSuite. The more we worked with it, the more convinced we became that deep expertise in one platform would serve clients better than shallow knowledge of many.

That focus paid off quickly. In 2016, we were named EMEA’s fastest-growing NetSuite partner. In 2017 we rebranded as 3EN Cloud and launched ENCO Consulting, creating the two sided business we know today. 3EN Cloud supplies NetSuite licences, while ENCO Consulting delivers the services that make them work. Rebranding felt like the natural next step as we continued to evolve as a business and find our niche.

Growing when it was hardest

2020 was a year when many businesses were simply trying to hold steady. We chose to grow. We opened an office in London, signed major contracts and welcomed 21 new clients. We also secured Invest NI support that helped us create new roles across the business.

None of that happens without a team and clients willing to back us in uncertain times. CEO, Dale Cree, says “Covid was an unexpected and undeniably difficult time for businesses and individuals alike. What I’m particularly proud of is how our team responded. Through hard work, careful planning and a willingness to adapt, we continued to support our clients and grow the business, achieving our best year to date. That says a great deal about the people we have here and the commitment they bring to their work.”

Our best years yet

By 2021, we’d reached our 10th anniversary with our best year in business, with revenue above £2.7 million. That was our second consecutive year of 30%-plus growth, and we were on course for a third. In 2022 and 2023 the momentum carried on, with strong first halves in both years.

Behind those numbers were people. In 2023 alone, we grew our Client Services team by a third, because we believe a go-live is the start of a client relationship, not the end of one. Our support desk and account management teams are as central to our reputation as our implementation work.

Conor McDonnell, Head of Client Services, reflects “Behind every successful client relationship is a team of people who care about getting things right. Whether it's helping a client navigate a challenge, answering a question or identifying an opportunity to improve how they work, it's the consistency and commitment of our people that make the difference. we are proud of the team we've built and the relationships they continue to develop with our clients.”

Recognition from Oracle NetSuite

In 2023, Oracle NetSuite awarded us its Expertise in ERP stamp. This means NetSuite itself promotes us as one of the most qualified ERP consultancies in Ireland, the UK and across Europe. It came after more than a decade and over 100 implementations, and it’s recognition that belongs to every consultant, developer, project manager and support engineer who has worked on a 3EN project.

Today, we’ve delivered more than 250 NetSuite implementations for clients in 52 countries and across four languages.

Our client, The Sports Edit, said about their implementation “NetSuite is a far superior system to our previous system. It is allowing The Sports Edit to automate key processes and is delivering far superior reporting capabilities. It is also proving to be easy to use. The project was exceptionally well managed to tight timelines. Go live was well supported with the team working extremely hard to make sure everything went smoothly. A great project team which made the project a lot less stressful.”

What 15 years has taught us

Specialise, then go farther. Being excellent at one thing is worth more than being adequate at many. Our focus on NetSuite lets us bring real depth to functional, commercial and technical questions alike.

Stay close to clients. The best insights about what businesses need come from the support desk, the account review and the honest conversation, not the boardroom.

Invest in people. Every award, milestone and record year in this story was earned by the team. We hire carefully, train properly and try to build a place where talented people want to stay.

Keep evolving. NetSuite today looks nothing like it did in 2011, and the businesses we serve have changed with it. Mark Bell, CITO, says “Over the past 15 years, we've learned that standing still isn't an option. Our clients' needs change, technology develops and new opportunities emerge, so we have to keep learning and adapting. What's important is that, as the business evolves, we don't lose sight of what matters: our people, our relationships with clients and the quality of the work we deliver together.”

These lessons have shaped not just the business we are today, but the culture we want to continue building for the future.

Looking ahead

The next 15 years will undoubtedly look different from the last. Artificial intelligence is already changing how businesses use ERP, from automating routine finance tasks to creating new ways for people to interact with their data.

Our focus is on helping clients cut through the noise, understand what's possible and identify the developments that will make a genuine difference to their businesses.

As technology continues to evolve, so will we. We'll keep investing in our expertise, developing our services and looking for better ways to help clients get the most from their NetSuite investment.

But our ambitions go beyond technology and business growth. We want to keep building a company where people can develop their skills, take pride in their work and feel part of something they are helping to shape.

For Dale, the next chapter is about building on the foundations already in place

“I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved over the past 15 years, but I'm just as excited about what lies ahead. We've built a strong business by investing in our people, looking after our clients and being willing to evolve. That's what we want to continue doing. The technology will change, the opportunities will grow, but our commitment to our team and our clients will remain the same.”

Our ambition is simple: to remain the partner our clients trust most with their NetSuite investment, while continuing to build a business our people are proud to be part of.

Thank you

To every client who has trusted us with their systems, every partner who has worked alongside us, and every colleague, past and present, who has helped build 3EN: thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to the next 15 years.
